step 1. go to control center(yast).by pressing Alt+F2 and type yast
now open network settings
network setting add new in overview
you find that new screen open network card setup. In general do this- active device> At boot time, assign interface to firewall> external zone, select enable device control, set MTU> 1500 Ethernet, DSL broadband
Do same like image seen below.
click on next screen you enter in address keep dynamic address, DHCP, DHCP Both Version 4 and 6
now click on next again
In hardware do not change any thing click next and finist it.
step 2. newtwork setting open globall options
choose traditional method and not enable IPv6, auto hostname to send. choose change default route via Dhcp
click on hostname dns and do same as like image
write hostname- linux-9ls0, domain name- www.suse.com, choose both option via DHCP and Loopback IP, modify dns conguration use default policy, name server- 61.1.96.69, name server 2- 61.1.96.71, name server 3- 208.67.222.222, domain search- www.suse.com after complete then click on ok
step 3. open DSL in network devices now add new dsl connection in dsl configuration create your dsl connect by Go through the next buttons.
select custom provider and enter the name of the provider.
click on next Enter your user name and password provided by provider.
In the "Connection Parameters" screen do not click on "dial on demand" because this makes your line dropped annoyingly whenever you are idle on the net!
Set the Idle time-out maximum: 900 sec.
Go through next and ok!
Step 4. This is very important step install kinternet in opensuse( Download Kinternet i586, src, x86_64) . after install open kinternet by press Alt+F2 and type kinternet and het enter now connect your internet by click on icon shown on desktop of kinternet
ou get a specific error then you have to enable "smppd"! .... Go to Yast --> Systems --> System Services (Run level)............ Then enable "smppd" and ok!
Then dial the kinternet again!
